Day 5 of Break!

Pete is getting ready for his internship and had to send a picture to them today, I couldn't pass up putting this on here. Sorry for the novel on this blog, just had to say that in advance.

So I didn't post anything from the past 2 days because I didn't have any pictures but we did do some fun stuff. On Wednesday we went to singing time and P.J. actually got to be there the whole time, instead of me leaving Henry with whoever was there halfway through to pick P.J. up from school to make it back just in time to get a sucker, so the boys ended up having fun with that. Afterwards we had a playgroup at our house and although there were only 5 kids it seemed like about 20 kids ran through the house taking every toy out of it's place. It was fun, you just expect that kind of mess when you have a playgroup at your house. On Thursday the boys and I got together with some of the other families and went to "The Big Mall" as P.J. calls it. It was the Salem mall and I got to buy a new dress for the Barristers Ball, and I found some fierce shoes, stay tuned for pictures of that later. Today we got to go to the Temple and it was so nice. Richard offered to watch the boys since his family is out of town and the boys loved it. Henry calls him Dichard and P.J. thinks he is the best babysitter ever, so thank you Dichard. It turned out to be a really nice time, different for us to have to travel and hour and a half to get there instead of 5 minutes, but a much need thing. I am so grateful that Pete and I are able to attend the temple together and just be reminded of our covenants and our eternal marriage.

Day 2 of Break!

Today was a very lazy day. The boys got bubbles from Chuck E Cheese last night so they wanted to play with those first thing this morning. I love the picture of P.J. blowing his bubbles. We all stayed in our jammies all day, we all got to take a nap, and of course we had some Wii action. P.J. had recently discovered his love for Wii golf. This evening P.J. and Henry had a pretty good head butt, Henry has a pretty good fat lip. When describing what happened P.J. said, "I was trying to jump on the couch and suddenly I bumped Henry's teeth." Where does that kid get his vocabulary? Tonight Pete went to play volleyball, so we are watching the Pratt kids and watching Charlotte's Web for one last time before we send it back. Have I mentioned I really like having Pete home? I love it!

Day 1 of Break!

Mom gets to do laundry!
Dad gets to play "Call of Duty"
Boys get to nap..........
But that's not all, oh no, we got to go to Chuck E Cheese!

We had such a good time today having Daddy home with us. Not only did we get to go to Chuck E Cheese but since Pete was home I got to do laundry without having to drag the boys with me and to the grocery store with no children. It was lovely.

Brothers

So, first of all I just have to say that I apparently can't take good pictures anymore. It was even on auto focus and still came out not so focused, sorry. Anyway, the boys wanted to get a movie from netflix so we ordered "Charlotte's Web", the old school one. When Pete went in to check on them a little while ago he said Henry was on P.J.'s lap, of course when I went in to take a picture he wasn't all the way on his lap anymore. Still these are some cute pictures of some cute brothers who do get along most of the time.

Ketchup Robber!

Be on the lookout for the ketchup robber! To explain: the other day we ran out of ketchup and I could not believe it because I always have like 5 bottles of ketchup in the cupboard and Pete always makes fun of me. So I was on the phone with my mom, telling her this, and P.J. says, "I know what happened, the ketchup robber stole it." The imagination that kid has blows me away.

My life is ruined!

P.J., as many of you know, is a very quick kid. He picks up on stuff from everywhere, in particularly from two places, school and Abby Allen. I just recently learned that he had learned the phrase "that's not fair" from one of the little girls at school and I've been trying to get him to understand that he is not really using it in the right way and that it just makes me mad. He seems to be responding pretty well to that and picked up on something new, are you ready for this? "My life is ruined, you are ruining my life." Are you kidding me, do I have a 13 year old girl living in my house?

Henry loves those grapes!

This was the best view I could get of him but this is how he eats his grapes. He doesn't pull them off the vine with his fingers, he uses his teeth like a Greek God or something. What a goofball. By the way, if anyone was wondering why I have suddenly started to blog so often it is because my Mom complained that there is nothing ever new on our blog. So like I said to her, you can't complain to me without getting results. We will just see how long it lasts.

Lazy Saturday Morning

This morning I decided that I needed to go through Henry's clothes to get out all of his 24 month and 2T sizes. He thought he needed to either try everything on, as seen with this hat picture, or throw it all out of the box before I could decide what I wanted to do with it. Not much help to say the least. Anyway, Henry had fun. He also found our leftover Valentines Day suckers and wanted one so after I told him no 50 times I finially gave in, but they are huge suckers and make a mess, he wouldn't sit in the kitchen without crying or screaming so I brought his chair in front of the TV and he didn't seem to mind being strapped in then. It has now been an hour and he is still working on that sucker, big sucker, little boy.

When it's cold outside!

Hopscotching Fool!

Thanks to an idea from "Fit WIC", a progaram through WIC for kids 3 and older, we made an indoor hopscotch. P.J. thinks it is the coolest thing and loves to hop around on it, he doesn't quite get the concept of throwing the taw and jumping on the right spots but it gets his energy out anyway.

Last Trip to the Dentist

Ok so P.J. has some teeth issues to say the least, he gets bad teeth from both Pete and me. We took him to the dentist for the first time last month and I was told that his molers are too big and too close together so a toothbrush just wasn't cleaning good enough. Long story short I should have been flossing his teeth, so we started and he really lets me do it quite well. Unfortunately, he still had 10 cavities, yes 10. 5 trips to the dentist, after his first visit, he is done, WOO HOO! Poor kid has had so much numbing of the mouth that he has finially had it. I couldn't help but post this picture of him smiling as big as he could, what a cute little boy.

Happy Valentines Day!

Kisses to everyone on Valentines Day!
Grandma Chris and Grandpa Mike sent the boys, and us, a package and in it were these lips on suckers. They looked even better in real life.

Not so happy Henry. We waited for Daddy to get home to eat dinner and it ended up being like 7:45 before we got to eat, they are used to eating at 6:00, so Henry had had it by the time I took this picture. Thanks to Nana, Papa, Oby, Tara and Chloe for the cards and Sees too. P.J. keeps sneaking my butterscotch squares, brat.
Last but not least our heart shaped meatloaf!

Thanks to Tyson's mom we decided to try out a new tradition, now I have to say this was probably not my best attempt but the kids loved it. As soon as Pete got home P.J. was like, "Dad, Dad, we have a heart shaped steak!"

I also got flowers in a box, it was pretty cool. They came from 1-800-FLOWERS and were delivered by UPS, who would have thunk you could get flowers in the mail. All in all it was a pretty good day!

Baby it's Cold Outside!

On Wednesday we woke up to about 9 inches of snow which we thought was cool because P.J. has been dying to play in the snow. Well the later it got in the morning it started to rain and of course the snow turned into ice, so here are the boys playing in the mounds of ice.

Dancing Fools!

Blurry I know, but too cute to pass up.

Dancing to our new song on the blog! Where do they get those moves?

New Song

P.J. asked me to put this song on our blog, he really likes it!

My Boys!

This has turned into our nighttime routine when Daddy is home: the boys have a bath, get in thier jams, turn on the goodnight show on sprout and snuggle with Daddy. It's a great thing!
